A large-scale musical fountain show for a cultural and tourism complex in Uzbekistan

Margilan City Musical Fountain Project

Huaxin Fountain designed and supplied a large musical fountain system for the Burhoniddin Marg‘inoniy Complex in Margilan City, Uzbekistan.
The fountain is built along a long axial pool. It combines high jets, 2D swing fountains, air explosion effects, flame fountains, a fan-shaped water screen, lasers, projection, moving head lights, DMX lighting, and music-synchronized control.

Project Overview

The Margilan City Musical Fountain Project is located at the Burhoniddin Marg‘inoniy Complex in Uzbekistan. This complex is a cultural, educational, and tourism destination with public spaces, landscape areas, modern facilities, and visitor-oriented attractions.

The fountain was planned as one of the main visual highlights of the site. It is not a simple decorative fountain. It is a complete musical fountain show system that combines water, light, music, multimedia, and public space.

Huaxin Fountain provided the fountain design, equipment manufacturing, technical coordination, installation guidance, and commissioning support for this project.

The final result is a large nighttime water show that brings movement, rhythm, height, fire, lighting, and multimedia effects together.

Project Background

The Burhoniddin Marg‘inoniy Complex is part of a large cultural and tourism development in Margilan, Uzbekistan. The site was planned to include public attractions, landscape areas, tourism facilities, cultural buildings, and a musical fountain.
For this type of destination, the fountain needed to do more than decorate the water area. It needed to become a visual landmark and a nighttime attraction for visitors.
The project required a fountain system with strong visual impact, clear layout logic, reliable equipment, and accurate coordination between water effects, lighting, music, and multimedia systems.

Design Challenge

The main challenge of this project was the long pool shape.
A long pool can easily look empty if the fountain effects are placed only in one area. It can also look repetitive if the same water effect is repeated from one end to the other.
For this project, the fountain layout needed to solve three key problems:

Fountain Layout Concept

Huaxin Fountain designed the fountain along the pool’s centerline.
The layout is symmetrical and rhythmic. The main water effects are placed around the center. Supporting effects are repeated on both sides to extend the show rhythm toward the two ends of the pool.
This layout creates a clear visual hierarchy:

The center becomes the main focus.
The left and right sections support the rhythm.
Different heights create vertical layers.
Moving effects add choreography.
Multimedia systems expand the show beyond water movement.

This approach makes the long pool feel complete and balanced.

Main Fountain Effects

50-meter central high jet in Margilan City musical fountain project

Central High Jet

The central high jet reaches about 50 meters. It marks the highest point of the fountain show and serves as a strong visual landmark during key musical moments.
In a long-pool fountain layout, a central high jet helps organize the whole composition. It gives the audience a clear focus and creates a strong climax during the performance.

Multidirectional Swing Effects

These effects allow water jets to move in different directions during the show sequence. They are commonly used in dancing fountains that need more expressive and dynamic choreography.

Variable Jet Effect

Variable jet effects let water height and pattern change continuously during operation. They help create richer visual variation and stronger contrast between different show moments.

Rotating Fountain Effect

Rotating effects create circular or directional motion during operation. They are useful for adding elegant movement and layered choreography to the fountain design.

Flame Effects

Flame effects add a strong visual highlight, especially in nighttime and landmark-oriented projects. They are usually used as accent effects in fountains with stronger show value.

Air Explosion Fountain Effect

Air explosion effects create a powerful burst of water for stronger impact and climax moments. They are usually used selectively to enhance rhythm and contrast in larger fountain shows.
