Al Ammar Avenue is a commercial development in Saudi Arabia with offices, restaurants and cafés. Huaxin Fountain’s musical fountain project forms part of its outdoor landscape, combining programmed water movement, underwater colour lighting and music.

The approximately 800 m² project uses three main water effects: dual-axis moving jets, chasing sequences and adjustable geyser jets. Their arrangement follows the curved basins, bringing directional movement, rhythm and changing heights into the fountain display.

Fountain Design for Curved Landscape Basins

The fountain layout follows the curved geometry of the water feature. Chasing-jet lines extend through the basins, while dual-axis units introduce changes in jet direction. Adjustable geyser jets provide lower vertical effects within the overall arrangement.

The equipment plan defines the positions of these three groups and their relationship to the surrounding buildings, pedestrian routes, and fountain control room.

Fountain Installation at Al Ammar Avenue

The fountain installation brings together dual-axis jet units, chasing-jet pipework, and adjustable geyser nozzles within the curved basins. Equipment positions follow the project layout, with stainless steel pipe assemblies connecting each effect group to its pumps. Underwater lighting and dedicated cabling complete the connections between the fountain equipment and the control system.

Three Water Effects in One Fountain System

The project combines changes in jet direction, sequential switching, and adjustable spray height. The equipment schedule specifies the following configuration:

Dual-Axis Moving Jets

Four dual-axis moving-jet units change the direction of the water streams along two axes. The numerically controlled mechanisms create sweeping movements and provide the taller elements of the fountain display.

Chasing Jet Sequences

The chasing-jet group consists of 280 nozzles with individual solenoid valves. Sequential opening and closing produces travelling patterns along the jet lines, allowing movement to progress through the curved layout.

Adjustable Geyser Jets

Eighteen geyser nozzles provide lower vertical water effects within a design range of 0–2 metres. These jets add variation in height alongside the moving jets and chasing sequences.

Coordinating Water, Lighting and Music

The lighting configuration specifies 296 underwater colour lights: 16 fixtures for the dual-axis jet group and 280 for the chasing jets. All specified fixtures operate at DC 24V.

Twenty submersible pumps are paired with variable-frequency drives to control the water supply to the effect groups. Four dedicated fountain control cabinets and fountain software support programmed operation, while an outdoor audio system with eight speakers provides the music component.

The specified nozzles, dual-axis mechanisms, and pipework use 304 stainless steel. The pipe assemblies are configured around the fountain layout and its separate pump groups.
